Learning programmes

Here you will find descriptions of instructional programmes for 1-hour and 2-hour sessions for the second to tenth classes, secondary schools and teachers’ colleges. The session takes place in the exhibitions, but a 2-hour session may also include a workshop visit, where the participants have an opportunity to learn through making and express themselves creatively.

Louisiana Learning works in partnership with many primary schools, secondary schools and organizations on longer-term programmes. They offer an opportunity to work in depth and develop content together. Louisiana Learning is currently working with the partners shown below. If you have suggestions for exciting joint projects, we would like to hear from you.

LOOK FORWARD TO
AFRICA – ARCHITECTURE, CULTURE AND IDENTITY

25.6.2015-25.10.2015

The exhibition aims to show that there is a multitude of alternative narratives of contemporary culture and history from Africa’s many regions, of which we far too rarely hear and...

...which are necessary to nuance our gaze at and image of Africa. The exhibition therefore shows a comprehensive presentation of architectural projects, contemporary art and cultural history with the aim of telling the story of an Africa on its way into the future.

AFRICA is the third and last in a trilogy of exhibitions about architecture, culture and identities. The first exhibition, NEW NORDIC, was about the Nordic building culture; the second, ARAB CONTEMPORARY, dealt with the Arab countries (including North Africa) with a special focus on the fast-growing ‘Babel Cities’. The third narrative –AFRICA – focuses on the part of Africa called Sub-Sahara.
